About This Place
Wascana Centre is one of the largest urban parks in North America, covering over 2,300 acres in the heart of Regina, Saskatchewan, built around the artificial Wascana Lake. The park is home to the Saskatchewan Legislative Building, the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, and a large waterfowl park attracting thousands of migratory birds each year. Families enjoy cycling paths, picnic areas, paddleboats, and free outdoor events in summer; in winter the lake becomes a popular skating destination.
