The Fitzwilliam Museum is one of the UK's finest art and antiquities museums, housed in a grand neoclassical building in the heart of Cambridge. Part of the University of Cambridge, its world-class collections span ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, medieval manuscripts, European paintings from the Renaissance to the 20th century, and applied arts. Rotating exhibitions and regular family-friendly events and trails make it an enriching outing for all ages. Free admission. Open Tuesday–Saturday 10:00–17:00, Sunday and Bank Holidays 12:00–17:00.
