The Spanish Riding School (Spanische Hofreitschule) in Vienna is one of the world's oldest and most celebrated equestrian institutions, founded in 1572 and located within the Imperial Hofburg Palace complex. The school is famous for the precise classical dressage performances of its white Lipizzan stallions, whose training begins in infancy and takes years to complete. Visitors can attend the magnificent formal performances in the historic Winter Riding School, as well as morning training sessions and guided stable tours.
