Schönbrunn Palace
About
Schönbrunn Palace is Vienna's most iconic landmark and one of Europe's grandest imperial residences, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with something for every member of the family. Guided tours take visitors through lavishly decorated state rooms that once hosted Mozart and Napoleon, while the vast baroque gardens — free to enter — offer fountains, mazes, and sweeping views from the Gloriette hilltop. Within the palace grounds you'll also find Tiergarten Schönbrunn (the world's oldest zoo), a Children's Museum where kids can dress as imperial courtiers, a botanical garden, and regular palace concerts. Palace open daily 08:30–17:30. Park open daily from 06:30.
