The Raul Scalabrini Ortiz Railway Museum in Buenos Aires, established in 1971, offers a captivating glimpse into Argentina's railway heritage. Families can enjoy guided tours available in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, exploring historic locomotives, carriages, and unique railway artifacts like the "PATRIA" steam locomotive from 1896 and the Presidential Carriage that carried Pope John Paul II in 1982. Recently renovated, the museum now features an extensive mezzanine, enhancing the visitor experience. The museum is open daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with guided tours on weekends and holidays. Admission is free for children under 6, railway employees, retirees, people with disabilities, and all visitors on Wednesdays.
