About
Purple Woods Conservation Area is a forested nature reserve in Oshawa, managed by the Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority (CLOCA). The site is a popular destination for hiking through mature Carolinian woodland, particularly during spring wildflower season when the forest floor is carpeted with trout lilies and other wildflowers. Trails wind through old-growth maple, beech, and oak, and the area is also used for cross-country skiing in winter.
