Playa de Puerto Madryn is the main beach of Puerto Madryn, a city on the Patagonian Atlantic coast of Argentina. The sheltered bay of Golfo Nuevo provides calm, clear waters that are ideal for swimming, kayaking, and snorkelling. The beach stretches for several kilometres along the city waterfront and is the gateway to some of the world's best whale watching — southern right whales gather in the gulf from June to December. The wide sandy shore is family-friendly with calm surf and excellent facilities.
