Planetario Galileo Galilei
About
The Planetario Galileo Galilei is Buenos Aires' iconic public planetarium, set in a striking saucer-shaped modernist building in Palermo alongside the rose garden. The main dome is 20 metres in diameter with reclining seats for a breathtaking projection of the night sky. The complex also features a meteorite museum with specimens from Argentina, interactive exhibits, 4D simulators, and virtual reality experiences. Outside in the grounds, the Plaza Astronómica features real meteorites and a sundial. Shows are ticketed and sell out — booking online in advance is strongly recommended. Open Tuesday–Friday 9:30–17:00, Saturday–Sunday and public holidays 12:00–19:30.
