Parc Jean-Drapeau
About
Parc Jean-Drapeau is a large urban park occupying two islands — Île Sainte-Hélène and Île Notre-Dame — in the St Lawrence River, just minutes from downtown Montreal by metro. Originally developed for Expo 67, the islands now host a rich mix of outdoor and cultural attractions including the Montreal Casino, Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve (home of the Canadian Grand Prix), public beaches, cycling paths, the Biosphere environmental museum, and La Ronde amusement park. The park also hosts major summer festivals including Osheaga and the Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend.
