Northern Velebit National Park (Nacionalni Park Sjeverni Velebit) in the Lika region of Croatia is one of the most pristine and biodiverse mountain wilderness areas in Europe, designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The park protects ancient forests, karst terrain, alpine meadows, and a remarkable array of flora and fauna. Highlights include the Botanical Garden of Velebit, the Lukina Jama–Trojama cave system (one of the world's deepest cave systems), and extensive hiking trails with panoramic coastal and island views.
