Niagara Parks Power Station
About This Place
The Niagara Parks Power Station is Canada's first major hydroelectric generating station, now transformed into a world-class heritage attraction on the Niagara Parkway. Visitors descend 45 metres by glass elevator to explore the restored turbine hall and towering generators, then walk a 670-metre tunnel to an observation deck overlooking Horseshoe Falls. After dark, the nighttime spectacular "Currents: Niagara's Power Transformed" illuminates the entire facility with spectacular light and sound effects.
