Mount Royal Park
About
Parc du Mont-Royal is Montréal's most beloved urban park, designed by renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted in the 1870s. Spread across the forested slopes of the mountain that gives the city its name, the park offers sweeping views of Montréal from the scenic belvedere, wide paths for walking and cross-country skiing, two lakes, and the beloved Sunday tam-tam drum circle gatherings. It is a year-round destination for families, with sledding in winter and ample picnic space in summer.
