Moraine Lake
About
Moraine Lake is a glacially-fed lake in the Valley of the Ten Peaks within Banff National Park, Alberta. With its famous turquoise-blue waters and dramatic mountain backdrop, it is one of the most photographed landscapes in Canada and was once featured on the Canadian $20 bill. Accessible by road from Lake Louise, the lake is a popular destination for canoeing, hiking, and photography. A short trail leads up the Rockpile for the iconic elevated view over the lake and surrounding peaks.
