The Ghibli Museum in Mitaka, Tokyo is a one-of-a-kind art museum dedicated to the films and craft of Studio Ghibli, created by director Hayao Miyazaki. The whimsical building invites visitors to wander freely through immersive exhibits on animation techniques, original artworks, and the creative processes behind beloved films such as My Neighbour Totoro and Spirited Away. A special short film plays in the on-site Saturn Theatre, and a rooftop garden features a life-sized robot soldier from Castle in the Sky. Entry is by date-specific advance reservation only.
