Finsbury Park
About This Place
Finsbury Park is a large Victorian public park in north London, straddling the boroughs of Haringey and Islington. Opened in 1869, the park covers 110 acres and features a boating lake, a running track, tennis courts, a skate park, a bowling green, a children's play area, and broad open lawns for picnics and informal sports. The park is also a famous live music and events venue, hosting major concerts and the Wireless Festival each summer. Finsbury Park train and Tube station (Piccadilly and Victoria lines) sits directly adjacent.
