The Cheltenham Badlands is a geological gem located in Southern Ontario, renowned for its striking red Queenston shale formations and unique ridge and gully landscape. Visitors can explore the 36-hectare site via interpretive trails and boardwalks while enjoying the scenic views from specially designed observation platforms. The area is open to visitors from May 8th to November 17th annually, from dawn until dusk, with entrance fees charged per vehicle. For a 90-minute visit, the price is $10 on weekdays and $20 on weekends and holidays, while three-hour visits cost $18 and $35, respectively. All bookings must be made in advance via ParkPass. The site features portable washrooms and provides a great opportunity for educational exploration of this ancient and ecologically significant landscape.
