Castell de Xàtiva is more than just an architectural wonder; it is a journey through history offering stunning views over the Valencian landscape. Families can enjoy exploring the intricate ruins and learning about its storied past.

About This Place

Castell de Xàtiva is a sprawling medieval fortress perched on twin hilltops above the historic city of Xàtiva in the Valencia region. Dating back to Iberian and Roman foundations and greatly expanded under Moorish rule, the castle is one of the best-preserved in the Valencian Community and offers panoramic views over the Albaida Valley. Visitors can explore two connected castle sections, a small museum of Iberian and Roman artefacts, and historic cisterns, all linked by a scenic hilltop path lined with cypress trees.
