About
The Calgary Zoo (officially the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo) is one of Canada's largest and most visited zoos, home to over 100 animal species in themed zones across a large riverside site in Calgary, Alberta. The zoo is also a leading conservation organization, contributing to the survival of threatened species globally. Highlights include Penguin Plunge and big cats. Note: the Exploration Asia section is closed for major redevelopment through 2028–2029. Tickets available online; membership passes also available. Birthday party and group programmes offered.
