Buenos Aires Playa is a series of artificial sandy beaches created by the city of Buenos Aires along the Río de la Plata shoreline north of the city centre. Each summer, the municipality deposits sand along the riverbank and sets up beach infrastructure including sunbeds, umbrellas, a beach bar, and water activities, giving porteños a free urban beach experience just minutes from the city. Entry is free.
