Battersea Park is a large Victorian public park on the south bank of the Thames in London, covering 200 acres between Chelsea Bridge and Albert Bridge. Originally opened in 1858, the park is one of London's most popular green spaces, featuring a riverside promenade, a lake with rowing boats, children's playgrounds, Battersea Park Zoo (a small zoo with meerkats, reptiles, and other animals), sports pitches, the Pump House Gallery, and extensive gardens. Free to enter. Gates open daily 6:30–22:30.
