Barrio de Jalatlaco is one of Oaxaca's most photogenic and well-preserved colonial neighbourhoods, tucked just east of the city's historic centre. Its narrow cobblestone streets are lined with colourfully painted colonial houses, flowering trees, and traditional craft workshops, making it a favourite for an afternoon stroll away from the tourist crowds of the zócalo.
