Bakken in Klampenborg, north of Copenhagen, is the world's oldest operating amusement park, having entertained visitors since 1583. Set within the beautiful Dyrehaven deer park forest, Bakken offers over 150 attractions including classic wooden roller coasters, family rides, games booths, theatres, and dozens of restaurants and bars. Entry to the park is free — you only pay for individual rides. The forested setting and retro charm give Bakken a uniquely nostalgic atmosphere quite different from modern theme parks.
